Description

Magnesium alloys have advantages in heat dissipation relative to alloys. For heat sinks of magnesium alloy and aluminum alloy materials of the same volume and shape, the heat (temperature) produced by a certain heat source is easier to transfer from the root of the heat sink to the top of the magnesium alloy than the aluminum alloy. Speed, the top is easier to reach high temperature. That is, the temperature difference between the root and top of the radiator made of aluminum alloy material is smaller than that of the radiator made of magnesium alloy material. This means that the temperature difference between the air temperature at the root of the heat sink made of magnesium alloy and the air temperature at the top is larger than that of the heat sink made of aluminum alloy material, so it accelerates the diffusion and convection of the air inside the radiator and improves the heat dissipation efficiency. Therefore, at the same temperature, the heat dissipation time of magnesium alloy is not half that of aluminum alloy.

Because magnesium alloy has good thermal conductivity and low cutting force, the heat dissipation rate during processing is very fast, so the tool life is long and the amount of sticking is small, which can reduce tool costs and shorten the downtime required for tool replacement. Because magnesium is easy to cut, its chip breaking performance is very good, under normal circumstances, only one finishing process can achieve the required final surface finish.

Weight: magnesium alloy is 36% lighter than aluminum alloy, 73% lighter than zinc, and 77% lighter than steel.

Specific strength: magnesium alloy is equivalent to aluminum alloy and steel, much higher than fiber reinforced plastics.

Wear resistance: the wear resistance of magnesium alloy is much higher than that of die-cast aluminum alloy A380.

Damping performance: magnesium alloy is 30 times higher than aluminum alloy.
